I visited Bahamas and Barbados a few months ago and I really had an amazing time. The islands were breathtakingly beautiful, the water is crystal clear, and the people are very nice. The are also a lot of fine dining restaurants around Barbados such as The Tides and The Cliff. The food there is really enticing. When I go back, I’ll visit the other islands to get a taste of their offerings.

Thank you for this post speaking about our recent Jamaica Diaspora Conference in Kingston.

I previously served on the Jamaica Diaspora Advisory Board for 3 years, representing Jamaicans under the age of 35 across the enter USA and it was a great experience to help build the linkages.

I also attended the US State Department's Global Diaspora Forum where we discussed many of these issues and was happy to see how advanced our engagement in Jamaica was compared to most other countries.

Scotland and others certainly could learn more about our mistakes, growing pains and successes. I am happy to share.
